Sydney Pollack is one of my favorite directors and Tootsie is one of my favorite films. Over the years, Pollack directed films such as They Shoot Horses Don’t They, The Way We Were and Out of Africa, racking up seven Academy Award nominations and two wins. It was amazing to sit down with him to discuss his electrifying career.

From the beginning, Dreamgirls had all the ingredients of a hit. Based on the successful Broadway show with a riveting book and beautiful score including the showstopper “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”, Academy Award winning Director, Bill Condon added an incomparable cast including the biggest surprise of the year, talented singer and actor (and seventh runner-up on Season Three of American Idol), Jennifer Hudson, who went on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for this film.

Michael Douglas was funny, charming and engaged. He told great stories and was willing to talk about anything. Just the kind of guest you always hope for.
